Microcomputing was still in its infancy when RM Ingénierie developed the first software designed for physiotherapists. The adventure had only just begun without anyone, at the time, being able to predict the profound change in habits and in the organisation of work that these systems would have in our society.
After 25 years of working with healthcare professionals, RM Ingénierie has become the leader in computerising the healthcare system in France. We now employ 115 people who review the healthcare systems and service with 30,000 healthcare professionals who use our solutions.
Besides remote transmission, it is the performance, simplicity, ergonomics and versatility of the software developed by RM Ingénierie which has made the company successful. Our software adapts to all types of clinic and even to the more complex ones that have a mixture of specialities, on a local or remote network.
It is in this spirit of dynamism and innovation that RM Ingénierie has evolved. The company today designs systems for measuring movement, aimed at healthcare professionals and sports trainers from high-tech components produced in the most successful French research laboratories in the world.
This business plan was launched in 2003 with the help of ANVAR and, in collaboration with the rehabilitation department at the CHU in Besançon, resulted in BioRescue, an analysis and rehabilitation system that uses a baropodometry platform. BioRescue enables an analysis to be carried out of the daily movements made by a patient and to assess progress through rehabilitation.
A natural progression from the preceding system, the BioVal project was launched in partnership with the CEA in Grenoble. It is now possible to analyse the movements of the whole body with the help of micro motion sensors providing wireless transmission to a computer.
New projects will continue to be launched in the years to come and we hope to remain at the cutting edge of technology in order to always provide our customers with the best solutions.
